Message Aaron's (Smittytec) gf Ashley organized for a bunch of local Z'ers and a few canucks to come down for a surprise birthday party for him. She did an absolutely awesome job getting everyone together for this (well, atleast whoever didn't bail at the last minute. Yes, I'm looking at you Dave).

ZEngineer, SpicyZ and I left on friday for Boston to meet up with Carlos and Tony (BigTDogg).

Arrived in Boston around 10-11pm-ish and met up with Carlos and Tony. We went to the ''Bell in Hand'' bar in downtown Boston. Those pictures have been with-held for blackmail purposes later...but rest assured fun was had by all....some more than others. coughLEROYS ANGELS!!!cough.

I was a bit disturbed by the 1:30am last call, but I guess for a society that doesn't really know how to drink, that's to be expected =P.

Met up with Tony and Carlos again on Saturday morning to drive up to Maine for Aarons surprise party.

Stopped by IHOPS first for breakfast and ofcourse a quick photo-op emerged.

Met up with Don (TTwins CT) on the I-90somethingorother and caravaned together to Maine.

Carlos's bald head was almost blinding from the glare.

Damn that's nice..not one, but two silver Z's...yummy.

Ghetto-thug Don looking to get his jail-bait freak on...

No comment......

Arrived at Smitty's party...He never had a clue he'd have 7 Z's (or roughly 2400hp) in the driveway that day.

Carlos' Z has the cleanest undercarriage of actually driven Z's I've ever seen! Awesome job Carlos.

The Shrekster

We all decided to go for a cruise through Maine, which I might add have some of the most awesome winding country roads I've ever been on. It was truly a pleasure and we all had a blast.

Some pics on a port in Maine. These turned out great I think. I have high res versions for anyone interested.

After we all got back to the house, there was the gift opening and cake. I didn't get any shots of the gifts, but Ashley was cool enough to get Aaron SPL Midori arms and SPL tension rods (Aaron, get a ring on this girl asap!).

..and finally, left sunday morning for Canada. I drove George's Z for a while and he decided to go trigger happy with my camera. It had been a while since I hadn't driven a Z and there is nothing more life-affirming than driving through the mountains in Vermont at dusk in a TTZ. Thanks George.

Sailing back home....

Overall, I want to thank everyone there, you were all awesome. Ashley for organizing this, Carlos and Tony for showing us Boston and Dave for being his useless-self. It was also equally nice to finally put some more faces to the names, Aaron,Carlos, Don and Ian, you guys are all good in my book.

This is what owning a Z is all aboot...just enjoying the ride =)
